UNITED NATIONS — The U.S. and several European delegations walked out of the U.N. speech of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Thursday after he said most people believe the U.S. government was behind the Sept. 11 terror attacks in order to assure Israel's survival.

In his speech to the annual General Assembly, Ahmadinejad said it was mostly U.S. government officials who believed a terrorist group was behind the suicide hijacking attacks that brought down New York's World Trade Center and hit the Pentagon.

Another theory, he said, was "that some segments within the U.S. government orchestrated the attack to reverse the declining American economy, and its grips on the Middle East, in order to save the Zionist regime" — his way of characterizing Israel.

"The majority of the American people as well as most nations and politicians around the world agree with this view," Ahmadinejad told the 192-nation assembly.

The U.S. and some European delegations left shortly after Ahmadinejad made the remarks.

He became even huger after the Gregory Brothers turned his speech into an auto-tune song and posted it on iTunes for sale, promising him half of the earnings. He spoke to UsMagazine:
"We found a house!" he tells Us, adding that he is so "excited ... It's for my whole family. And these are new houses that have just been built."

Dodson is paying for the new pad thanks to money he earned after musicians the Gregory Brothers turned his tirade into an Auto-Tuned song that hit the top 50 iTunes list (Dodson got half the proceeds).

"I still can't believe this," he tells Us of his sudden fame. "Even though my life is moving forward, it's at a standstill in my mind. I'm like, 'Wow! All of this is happening just off a news interview!'"

Gisteren presenteerde Unilever de machine, ‘Share Happy’, op het reclamefestival van Cannes als ‘een ijsco-automaat van het digitale tijdperk’. De komende achttien maanden zal de Share Happy worden geïntroduceerd op verschillende drukbezochte winkelcentra in de wereld.

De automaat maakt in eerste instantie gebruik van augmented reality om iemands aandacht te vangen: het gezicht van een voorbijganger wordt binnen het hoofd van een cartoonfiguur afgebeeld. Eenmaal staande bij de automaat, zo toont een video, wordt aan hem gevraagd om te lachen. Daarna meet een zogenaamde ’smile-o-meter’ of de glimlach groot genoeg is om hem met een gratis ijsje te belonen.

Ook kan de automaat iemands leeftijd, geslacht en gemoedstoestand inschatten dankzij cameraherkenning. Een door de machine genomen foto wordt ten slotte, met toestemming van de passant, geüpload naar Facebook (CIA).

AMSTERDAM - Google introduceert zijn dienst om het web naar de televisie te brengen nog deze herfst in de Verenigde Staten. Volgend jaar volgt een wereldwijde lancering.

Google-baas Eric Schmidt zei tijdens een conferentie in Duitsland dat Google TV gratis zal zijn. Het bedrijf werkt samen met fabrikanten van televisies en programmamakers om de dienst mogelijk te maken. Sony zal Google inbouwen in zijn internettelevisies, Samsung misschien ook. Ook werkt het bedrijf samen met Intel en Logitech.

Google tv is een aangepaste versie van Android, het besturingssyteem voor mobiele telefoons van het bedrijf. Gebruikers kunnen op hun televisie webpagina's bezoeken, hun mail checken, internettelevisie bekijken, muziek luisteren en sociale netwerken gebruiken. Net als op mobiele telefoons kunnen apps worden geïnstalleerd die de functionaliteit uitbreiden. Zo zou bijvoorbeeld Uitzendinggemist via een app op de televisie te bekijken kunnen zijn.

So hot. Kentucky farmer's corn pops in the field.

You expect to find popcorn in the grocery store.. but what about in farm field? A Hardin County farmer says that some ears of his corn in a field have 'popped' on the stalk. Patrick Preston took photos of his popcorn and sent it to the UK Ag Extension for an explanation.

"The other guys were asking if he had put butter on it and if he sold it that way. They're really giving him a hard time about it," says UK Extension Agent Dr. Chad Lee.

But it doesn't look like you might think.

"The picture that was sent look like a bunch of popped corn, it's yellow. It's not white popcorn looking but corn literally did pop in the field. It was that hot," says Dr. Lee.

Dr. Lee explains that the kernels formed during a time of high heat, then it rained and kernels began filling again.

"It kept filling until it actually ruptured the seed coat and caused it to pop open," says Dr. Lee.
